Types of Parking Garage Grille

There are two types of security gate, vertical coiling roll-up doors and side folding doors. While both have specific uses in different scenarios, they both provide security and ease of use. Vertical coil gates can come in tight coiling grilles which are ADA-compliant and are perfect if space is restricted. Side folding grilles close like an accordion and are also available when space is limited.

Security gates are most often installed at the entrance and exit of parking garages but they can also be used for retail spaces and storefronts in malls or sporting venues. Some brands of security grille are used in more of a retail capacity as they offer different grille options to provide aesthetic appeal like anodized aluminum or galvanized stainless steel lattice patterns. Others are more durable for outside elements that are essentially maintenance-free. Still others are built for optimal opening and closing at high speed or high cycle in high-traffic areas.
